Medical devices
Fine-line flex for medical devices.
Serflex builds flexible circuits for ultrasound probes, catheters, diagnostic equipment and surgical systems, where fine lines and thin constructions let designers fit more function into less space.
Applications
Where our flex goes
in medical devices.
From handheld imaging to single-use catheters, medical programs need interconnect that is small, flexible and repeatable.
Ultrasound probes
High-density flex that connects transducer elements to the system in handheld, cart-based and catheter ultrasound.
Catheters
Narrow, thin flex for mapping and ablation catheters, with platinum band markings available through Serflex Select™.
Diagnostics and monitoring
Fine-line circuits for diagnostic equipment, patient monitoring and drug delivery devices.
Surgical systems
Compact, flexible interconnect for surgical robotics and powered instruments.
Neuromodulation
Fine-line interconnect for stimulation and sensing devices.
Imaging and therapy
Detector and control interconnect for imaging and radiation therapy equipment.
Catheter and probe flex
Small diameters.
Dense routing.
Catheters and probes leave little room for interconnect. UHDI processing gives lines and spaces down to 18 µm and microvias down to 15 µm, so more signals fit into a narrow flex tail.*
- Serflex Select™ platinum band markings and selective wire-bond pads
- Thin polyimide and rolled-annealed copper for repeated flexing
- Connector and component assembly in house
* Capability limits depend on the design and construction. Confirm requirements with Serflex during DFM review.
Working with device makers
Built to support
device programs.
We work with your engineering, quality and supply chain teams from the first DFM review through production builds.
